Because of the critical role that graduate research and teaching assistants (and associates) play in the conduct of the University’s core research and teaching activities, The University of Tennessee will provide health insurance to all GTAs and GRAs employed more than 25% time. Non-employee graduate students are urged to avail themselves and their dependents of a comparable insurance plan, as paying for hospital and medical care is the student’s responsibility. Health insurance is required for foreign students.
