It was beautiful fall weather to have BESS’ annual Fall Welcome Back BBQ during the late afternoon of Thursday September 23rd. BESS undergraduates, graduate students, faculty, staff and Spoon the pig attended. We had Buddy’s BBQ as well as some vegetarian options and a sundae bar. Attempts were made to minimize contributions to the landfill: drinks were in recyclable cans, table clothes were washable, patrons were encouraged to bring their own plate and flatware, and compostable options were provided to those who forgot them. Some students even played cornhole!
