BESS’s students did very well in various competitions at the recent 2022 Tri-Society Meeting in Baltimore. With respect to undergraduates, in the Students of Agronomy, Soils, and Environmental Sciences (SASES) competition,  Sydney Logwood, who will soon be Drs. Nutifafa Adotey and Lori Duncan’s MS student,  placed third.  Ravi Neelipally, Dr. Sindhu Jagadamma’s PhD student, placed second in the Soil Biology and Biochemistry Division Graduate Poster Competition. Dr. Debasish Saha’s students also did very well: Ryan Ackett placed first in the oral competition by “Global Climate Change Community”, Arjun Chhetri obtained the second place in the poster competition by “Biochar: Agronomic and Environmental Uses Community”, and Facundo Lussich received third place in the poster competition by “Soil Carbon and Greenhouse Gas Community.” Well done BESS!
