Farm Safety and Health is an important issue to the Tennessee agricultural community. Farming is a unique occupation that presents numerous opportunities for injuries, illnesses and deaths. In fact, agricultural occupations experience some of the highest injury and death rates of any industry. Agriculture involves working with large animals, hazardous chemicals, unpredictable weather, financial management and stress, and powerful industrial equipment – any of which can contribute to an injury or illness.
Tennessee AgrAbility educates and assists Tennessee’s farmers, farm workers and their family members that have disabilities so they can increase their independence and productivity. Our mission is to enhance and protect the quality of life and preserve livelihoods for farm families touched by disability.
