Rounak Patra, who is a Ph.D. Candidate co-mentored by Drs. Sindhu Jagadamma and Deb Saha, recently attended the Ecological Society of America (ESA) Annual Meeting in Portland, Oregon from August 6 to 11. Rounak received two awards at the meeting: the ESA Policy Chapter Award and the ESA Southeastern Chapter travel award. He also delivered an oral presentation “Impact of Residue Type and Management Practices on Subsoil Organic Carbon Storage”. In addition to his recent participation at the ESA meeting, he has been asked to deliver a presentation at the Tennessee Plant Research Center on August 24, 2023 at noon. The title of his talk will be: “Unravelling Microbial Mechanisms in Agricultural Subsoil Organic Carbon Storage”
