Shikha Singh, a PhD student expected to graduate in fall 2020, received the Chancellor’s Extraordinary Professional Promise Award (2020) and the Graduate Student Senate’s Excellence in Graduate Research Award (2020). The title of her thesis is: Soil moisture and textural control on organic carbon dynamics in forested ecosystem. Surendra Singh received the Chancellor’s Extraordinary Professional Promise Award (2020). He is expected to graduate in summer 2020; his thesis is entitled: Soil health assessment for the agroecosystems of Tennessee. Both students are expected to accept postdoctoral assignments.
