Dr. Doug Hayes AOCS Fellow!

Dr. Doug Hayes, Biosystems Engineering faculty that teaches BSE 231 Biochemistry for Engineers and BSE 321 Biothermodynamics, Heat and Mass Transfer, was selected to be an American Oil Chemists’ Society (AOCS) Fellow, class of 2021. This is an extremely prestigious award, which is reserved only for a single digit percentage of the Society’s membership. Dr. Hayes’ research program is centered on developing molecular understanding of biological processes that range from bioplastic interfaces to membrane protein interfaces.  Dr. Hayes is also editor-in-chief of the peer review AOCS journal “Journal of Surfactants and Detergents”. Heartfelt congratulations Dr. Hayes!
