Wednesday April 21, BESS had its picnic/banquet outdoors at the UT Botanical Gardens. It was not raining but it was about 50 degrees F! However, our hearts were warmed by our special guests, Dr. Joanne Logan and Dr. Willie Hart. After 34 years of service to UT, Dr. Logan retired December 31, 2020.  Dr. Hart was a member of the faculty for 39 years and retired February 28, 2021. Both will be very much missed, but we know that they will be very busy taking care of grandchildren and of farm animals.  BESS is wishing to both of you health and peace of mind during these golden years!
