Dr. Sindhu Jagadamma won the 2024 AgResearch Grantmanship Award (Associate Professor category). She has established an internationally recognized research program on sustainable agriculture with emphasis on evaluating and assessing the impacts of farming techniques on soil health. She is involved in over $70 million worth of grants, with her specific share over $7.5 million. This level of funding has allowed her to have supported or currently supporting eight M.S. students and five Ph.D. students. Dr. Jagadamma enjoys a national reputation. She was involved in her professional society, American Society of Agronomy, in the leadership of the Global Climate Change, Soil Carbon and Greenhouse Gas Emissions and Organic Management Systems communities. She is associate editor of two international journals, Agronomy Journal and Soil Science Society of America, and technical editor of Agricultural and Environmental Letters Journal.
