ACCE Accreditation

The Construction Science and Management degree is in the preliminary process of seeking accreditation through the American Council for Construction Education (ACCE).

Program Objectives

Admission Requirements

The Construction Science and Management major does not have additional first-time admissions requirements beyond the UT System; however, transfer or change of major students seeking admission into the degree program must be in good academic standing (2.00 or higher in the UT System).

Each academic major at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville is identified with a Classification of Instructional Programs (CIP) code as defined by the US Department of Education, Institute of Education Sciences, National Center for Educational Studies (NCES). The program CIP code is 52.2001.

Transfer Student Requirements

• Transfer Center will ensure the transfer application has a cumulative transfer admission GPA of 2.00+ for the program, regardless of the number of transferable credit hours.
• Admit: cumulative transfer admission GPA of 2.00+ and less than 45 transferable credits.
• Admit: cumulative transfer admission GPA of 2.00+ and 45+ transferable credit hours must successfully complete the following courses or equivalents:
  • MATH 141* or (MATH 131 and MATH 132*) transfer grade of D- or higher
  • CHEM 122* and CHEM 123* transfer grade of D- or higher
  • ENGL 101* and ENGL 102* transfer grade of C or higher
